Camera Workshop

We’ve been having loads of fun with our Introduction to Using the Camera workshops. Taking a break from translating scripts, looking at historical archives and recording Gaelic narration, we decided to get out and about with the camera.

The pupils learned how to expose their shots, set white balance and manually focus, as well as the differences between the different kinds of lenses. They took to it quickly and immediately started getting experimental with the lenses and the different shots they could take.

Here are a range of stills from the pupils’ video work, from close-ups to wide shots. Future Gaelic filmmakers at work?
